MSRUAS in plain terms.

MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences was set up in 2013 in the Peenya Industrial Area. It belongs to the same Gokula Education Foundation family as MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, but the two are separate institutions — MSRUAS is a private university, MSRIT is a VTU-affiliated college. The university structure means MSRUAS sets its own curriculum, admission process and fees rather than running through VTU.

On the fee ladder, this is a tier-2 option. A management seat in CSE costs ₹24 lakh over four years, with the AI/ML and engineering sciences sitting between ₹16 lakh and ₹20 lakh. As a younger university the alumni network is still building, but the industry orientation and applied-engineering pitch attract a steady mix of programmes.

The admission flow is different from a VTU college — there's a KCET share, COMEDK admits, and the university's own management channel. We help families work out which channel suits their profile.

• KCET (~45%): Karnataka domicile, KEA counselling, lowest fee bracket.
• COMEDK (~30%): Open across India, COMEDK UGET counselling — published at ₹55,490 per year, one of the lowest in this cohort.
• Management (~25%): Direct admission via the university, no domicile rule, highest fee.

1. Send marks, branch preference and budget across by form or call.
2. Counsellor call — MSRUAS fit, fee planning, document checklist.
3. Application submitted to the university; provisional offer issued.
4. Fee payment, document verification, joining letter.

Eligibility.

MSRUAS accepts students via KCET, COMEDK and its own management process. The university also runs entrance interactions for some applied programmes.

KCET

• Class 12 passed with Physics, Maths and a third science.
• Minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC Karnataka).
• Karnataka domicile — seven years of schooling in the state.
• Valid KCET rank.

COMEDK

• Class 12 with Physics, Maths and one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotech or CS.
• Minimum 45% aggregate (40% SC/ST).
• Open across India.
• Valid COMEDK UGET rank.

Management quota

• Class 12 with PCM, third science varies by programme.
• 50–55% aggregate, depending on branch.
• JEE Main, KCET or COMEDK score useful but not mandatory.
• Some programmes may include a short interaction with the dean's office.
